CAS genesisWorld is a server-based application for your CRM and xRM solutions from CAS Software AG. As an additional client for your daily work, we provide you with the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In, which you can download into your Microsoft Outlook 365 application. If you do so, the rights described here apply.

Installing the add-in

When you download the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In, the necessary information is transferred to the Microsoft Store. You can learn which information is transmitted in the Microsoft Store terms of use. We do not control and are not responsible for this data collection.

We do not further process or save the data that is collected.

 

Required authorizations

We do not require any further authorizations from you for you to use the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In.

 

Data required to use the app

To be able to use our service, you must have a CAS genesisWorld account. This account is created for you and assigned to you by an administrator of your organization.

  • Server
    Internet address of the CAS genesisWorld Server in your organization
  • User name
    Enables clear identification on the CAS genesisWorld Server in your organization
  • Password
    The personal password that you or your administrator have assigned to yourself for using CAS genesisWorld is also required for logging into the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In. If you change your password, the new password will also apply to the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In. Please keep your password confidential to protect your CAS genesisWorld account. You are responsible for the activities involving your CAS genesisWorld account. Please do not use your CAS genesisWorld account password for third-party services. If you notice any unauthorized use of your password or your CAS genesisWorld account, please inform your administrator immediately.
  • Database
    Alternatively, enter the name of the database you wish to use, if you do not want to log on to the default database.

 

Personal data

Personal data that you enter and edit via the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In is stored exclusively on your organization's servers. By using the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In, no personal data is transmitted to us or third parties.

 

Transmission of data to third parties

The data you enter in the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In remains in your organization.

 

Feedback functions

Automatic error reports

The Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-In does not have any automatic feedback functions.

Display log

You can send us an error report at any time. In the lower pane, you can display the content of the log file using the “Display log" button.

Depending on the Microsoft Outlook client you are using, you can download this information and / or copy it to your clipboard and then send it to us via the support channels.

In order to understand the context of your feedback, the following data is collected:

  • Information about your end device such as browser and operating system
  • The CAS genesisWorld Server version currently in use
  • Error messages
