Reference DRK Ortsverein Germersheim

The DRK local association in Germersheim presently has approximately 250 supporting members and 20 active members. Its primary areas of responsibility encompass general social work, blood donation service, civil protection and disaster relief, medical services (e.g., wine festivals, sporting events, parades, and concerts), first aid in emergencies and accidents, as well as training the population in first aid.
The association faces several challenges in managing such a diverse range of tasks, particularly with regard to managing the work of its mostly volunteer workforce. In particular, precise planning of emergency services and ensuring compliance with legal requirements in the development of contracts have proven to be technical and organizational challenges.
As one of the first local associations of the DRK nationwide, the Germersheim DRK association has embraced the opportunities of digitization in this area through the implementation of CAS Merlin CPQ.
