In 1975, Erich Wied founded the company Wied's Chemie-Technik GmbH and settled in the historic "Flecken" in Freudenberg.
Initially active only in the region, the company continued to develop steadily. Soon it had secured a firm place in the supra-regional market and since then it is hard to imagine many companies as suppliers without it. In recent years, the customer base has expanded beyond Germany to include the whole of Europe.
